Ethiopian clothing-How to measure yourself?

Want to buy Ethiopian Clothing online and you don’t know what’s your size?

BUYING clothes can be a maddening experience— especially Ethiopian clothing online shopping. First of all, forget about the size you might think you are. If you are “usually” a size 10 you might still be size 6 or even 14 on the website that you are looking in right now. The main purpose is to shop for fit not for size.

What is clothing size?

Clothing size refers to the label sizes used for garments sold off the shelf that isn’t specially designed or custom-made

So how can you know which size you are when you buy Ethiopian clothing online?

When you’re taking your measurements the overall thing that you want to think about is how you want the garment to fit.
Everybody wants their garments to fit differently; Some people want a loose fit and some want a tight fit. Also, the same person could want different garments to fit in different ways.

What does it mean?

Let us demonstrate it by giving you an example:

ETHIOPIAN DRESSESethiopian dresses

Link to the first dress: MAE JEMISON ETHIOPIAN DRESSES

Link to the second dress: ELIZABETH B ETHIOPIAN DRESSES

The first dress supposed to be a loose-fitting dress and the other one supposed to be a more fitted dress.

If you are the type of person who has curves and want to show them off you will want the first dress tighter, more like a fitted dress, so when you take your measures, you might go down a couple of inches/cm so that the dress fits and will hug your curves.

For the second one if you want it to be more like the first one you will need to add a couple of inches/cm to your measurements to get that effect.

Another example is these two jackets:

First jacket: A BARRA ETHIOPIAN CLOTHING

Second jacket: BADER ETHIOPIAN JACKET

And now for the actual measuring

Standard of the shelf clothing size is a combination of 3 measurements: Hips, waist, and bust when you have the 3 of them you will be able to purchase online with the best perfect fit as possible.

Each brand develops his fit for each size of cloth (it happens with almost every item that involves body measures), the odds of that fit being duplicated exactly by a competing brand are slim.

That’s why almost every online store has its size guide that helps you to determine which size are you in their brand. Once you have an idea of your size, beyond “large,” “size 10,” or “42 waists,” you’ll be able to shop without fear. Remember, one company’s size 10 can be another company’s size 8.
You can find ours next below the price under each listing. It will help you to measure yourself and find your exact size in our shop.
