All the products in your store look beautiful in the pictures. If I order one, I will receive the same?

Ethiopian products as we all know are mainly handmade especially the patterns on the clothes, so it important for us to clarify that the patterns are not 100% as the images all the time, like not all the paintings from the same painter will be exactly the same; handmade can change from a machine work especially the traditional method that is used for Ethiopian clothes by the Shemanne (the weavers).

Can I get matching outfits to me, my kids and husband? What will be the price?

Yes, for sure. You can choose to match your outfit to each member of your family.
Please contact us via our contact us form and we will be more than happy to assist.
For the price as each outfit price is different so is the price of the matching outfit changes. Remember to write us the name of the outfit that you need(you can find it in the top of each page) and to add which kind of matching outfit do you need so we can give you the excact prices.
For guys and boys the matching outfits can be:
1. Jacket+pants
2. Shirt+pants
3. Vest+pants
You can also choose to take only one item: jacket/ pants/ shirt/ vest

For girls:
1. Dress
2. Skirt+shirt

You can also go for only skirt or only shirt.

6. Additional email will be sent to notify your tracking number as soon as the order will be sent.

How can I know what is my size?

each brand develops his own personal fit for each size of cloth , the odds of that fit being duplicated exactly by a competing brand are slim.
Once you have an idea of your size, beyond “large,” “size 10,” or “42 waist,” you’ll be able shop without fear.

What Does One Size Really Mean?

One size item is when a company offers an item that can be worn by a variety of sizes. One size items are usually smocked or elastic and stretches to fit.

Our one size products will fit a range of about 4 sizes from XS to L. Please check our size guides, which you can find under the categories to understand what is your actual size in our company.

How long does it take to finish my order?

Alomst every item in our website is made to order, from scratch, this includes all fabrics which we spin and weave ourselves.
In order to know the etsimated datet that your order will arrive to you, please check under the grey rectangle that can be found in each product page.
It is highly recommended that you place your order well ahead of time before a special occasion.

Please note: esimated time doesn’t include special orders or big orders, so please contact us before purchase.

Orders will arrive to the address that you filled in our checkout form so please verify the address and your phone number before you press send.

If for some reason you need to change the address please send us an email and we will make sure that your order will arrive to that adress.

Can you mail my order package to my P.O box?

Ufortunately no; All our orders are been shipped by FedEx and they don’t deliver to Post Office Box addresses. They only accept shipments to a valid street address, so please fill in your physical address in the checkout page.

How can I track my order?

We will send you a detailed tracking information via the email that you wrote in the checkout within one business day from the day we ship it to you.
For any questions you can always contact us through Contact Us
form and we will be more happy to assist.

Can I make changes to a chosen item?

You will be able to do so as long as materials have not been ordered. Usually within 24 hours of your purchase.

Can I order items that are not displayed on the site?

Yes. We will be happy to manufacture any product for you. You can send us an email through Contact Us or call us in +251929238139. Please add a sketch or a photo of the product, the right measurements and the kind of fabric that you would like us to use.

Can I cancel an order of my personal creation?

If you require a refund and cancellation of your order, you will be able to do so as long as materials have not been ordered. Usually within 24 hours of your purchase.

What are the payment methods on this site?

You can easily pay online using credit card or your PayPal account. Pay attention that in the checkout you will see PayPal but you can press on the botton and you will have option to pay with your credit card.
You also have the option of paying via bank wire transfer or Western Union; if you choose one of those, make sure to contact us first before placing your order.

I am an international customer and I am not sure how much I'll be charged for a purchase.

Kemisd-Ethiopian clothing is proud to service our customers from all over the world! All pricing on our site is in USD, the conversion rate would depend on your issuing credit card company being used on the transaction.

Is it safe to leave a credit card details and/or personal information on the site?

We guarantee that your details are completely safe with us. All information is sent encrypted to ensure total security of any sensitive information.

What are the regulations for a final sale item?

All final sale items are marked as such on their product pages and no returns can be issued for this merchandise.

Why we are asking for your phone number when you are placing an order?

The carriers that we work with require that a phone number accompany every shipment to ensure that your package will be delivered accurately. If the company experiences any issue delivering the package, they will reach out to you.

How do I know my package has shipped and is on its way?

Once you place an order, you will receive an automatic confirmation email from us. Another email will also sent to you in order to infom you that we have got your order and we are starting with the process of manufacturing it. Once your order has been processed and is been shipped by us, you will receive another automatic email to inform you that we completed your order.  Last email will give you the final details on your shipment and how to track it.

I placed an order, but never received a confirmation email.

If you do not receive an email from us withing hours of placing your order and it’s not in your Spam folder, the email address on file is most likely spelled incorrectly. Please contact us through the contact us form and we will be more than happy to assit.

Why do I have a small sign on the garment?

Most of our garments are handwoven and handmade to the last detail by shemanes(weavers) that are using ancient techniques passed down from generation to generation as a way of keeping the tradition of spinning the cloth and embroidering alive. As a result, there are often various markings that are made during their creation such as pen marks or brown/chalks marks that are used as a measurement.
Please note that most of it can be removed by a quick hand washing.

What is the delivery time?

Shipping time is usually between 3 to 7 (except of remote places and custom delays) working days after that the order is sent by us.

What is a remote location?

A remote area is defined as a place that is not close to any larger city or any other point, where local depots of courier companies are located. This makes the area difficult to reach. These locations are usually islands, ski resorts, suburbs, small towns, places that are neither highly populated, nor easy to access

**Shipping to remote areas is more complex than standard shipping, both for economical and logistics reasons. Generally, booking shipping services to remote areas is possible. As long as you receive mail to your address, carriers are most probably able to deliver a shipment there.

What is the cost of the shipment?

International shipping – We have a flat rate of 25USD  to all over the world (Regardless of the amount of products that you want to order).

Domestic shipping- free.

Which carriers are you using?

In order to secure your order and deliver it as soon as possible we have chosen EMS, FedEx and DHL as our carriers.

Who is responsible for the duties and taxes?

International Shipping items may be subject to customs processing depending on the item’s declared value.

As the buyer, you should be aware of possible:

– Delays from customs inspection.

– Import duties and taxes which are on your responsibility.

– Brokerage fees payable at the point of delivery.

For every specific process of personal data we collect from you, we will inform you whether the provision of personal data is statutory or required to enter a contract and whether it is an obligation to provide the personal data and possible consequences if you choose not to.

Right to portability:
Whenever KEMIS processes your personal data, by automated means based on your consent or based on an agreement; you have the right to get a copy of your data transferred to you or to another party. This only includes the personal data you have submitted to us.

Right to rectification:
You have the right to request rectification of your personal data if the information is incorrect, including the right to have incomplete personal data completed.

If you have a KEMIS account or Club membership you can edit your personal data under your account and membership pages.

Right to erasure:
You have the right to erase any personal data processed by Kemis at any time except for the following situations:

*you have an ongoing matter with Customer Service
*you have an open order which has not yet been shipped or partially shipped
*you have an unsettled debt with Kemis, regardless of the payment method
*if you are suspected or have misused our services within the last four years
*your credit application has been rejected within the last three months

Collecting your personal data when creating and managing you KEMIS Club membership is required to fulfill our commitments according to the membership agreement.

If you don’t submit your personal data we won’t be able to provide you with the membership or the services of the KEMIS Club.

How long do we keep your data?
We will keep your data for as long as you have an active Club membership.

You have the right to terminate your membership at any time. If you choose to do so your membership will cease to exist.

After the membership has been terminated your data will be deleted.

We will keep your personal data in there are any legal requirements and if there is an open dispute.

Your right to object to direct marketing:
You have the right to object to direct marketing, including profiling analysis made for direct marketing purposes. We will process your data when you enter our competitions. Your personal data will be used for KEMIS to contact contestants regarding the competition, before and after an event, to identity contestants, verify the age of contestants, to contact winners, deliver and follow up on prize deliveries.

We will use data to evaluate, develop and improve our services, products and systems for all of our customers. For this purpose we will not analyze your data on an individual level, all processing will be done on pseudonymised data.

This includes analysis to make our services more user-friendly, such as modifying the user interface to simplify the flow of information or to highlight features that are commonly used by our customers in our digital channels and to improve IT systems in order to increase the security for our visitors and customers in general.

The analysis is also used to develop and constantly improve the logistics flow of goods by forecasting purchases, stocks and deliveries as well as our resource capacity from a sustainability point of view by streamlining purchasing and scheduling of deliveries.

In addition we use the data to be able to plan new establishments of stores and warehouses and improve our product range.

Why do we use your personal data?
We will use your personal data for loss prevention management by securing that terms and conditions are being followed and to detect and prevent misuse of our services.

We will also use your personal data via video surveillance for security reasons. This data will be used to be able to follow up on incidents and to prevent and report criminal offences in our stores.

Your personal data will be used to prevent and investigate abuse of our services online and losses and fraud, by analyzing online shopping behavior.

Your personal data that is forwarded to third parties is only used for purposes mentioned above. We will share your data with companies for exception based reporting.

Incidents and fraud may be shared with insurance companies, legal authorities or local and global law enforcements to complete investigations. Please be aware that such recipients will have an independent right or obligation to process your personal data.

How long do we save your data?
We will keep your data for the time we need to prevent and/or report potential fraud and other offenses.

Video footage will be saved in compliance with local legislation, for a maximum of 30 days.

You have the right to object to the processing of your personal data that is based on KEMIS’s legitimate interest by contacting support@kemisd.com. Your account will then be deleted and we will not be able to carry out our services to you.

We understand that ordering an outfit for your special occasion is an important undertaking, and our cancellation policy was created with this in mind.

However, it is important to note that all our products are made-to-order, whether you ordered according to our size guide or custom measurements, and the materials cannot be reused once the creation process has begun. The good news is that after placing your order, there is still time to change your mind. Please refer to our cancellation and return policies below for details.

  •  Orders cancelled within 24 hours of payment confirmation will be eligible for a full refund.
  •  Orders cancelled more than 24 hours after payment confirmation will be eligible for a partial refund consisting of the full shipping cost and 50% of the product purchase price.
  • Once your order has been shipped, it can no longer be cancelled.

    Exchange Policy

Please contact us within 24 hours from when you get your order if you find any damage or that dress/clothing hasn’t been made to our size guide or to the custom measurements that you specified.

We are doing our best to follow the measurments that you send us and the one who appears in our size guides.  If you feel that we made your order in wrong measurements, then please provide us a video of the product/s with measurement tape while you wear it, with assist of a professional seamstress and we will be happy to assist.

In case that we approve the exchange please take in consideration that the item must be shipped within 3 days.

Please note:

The items must be in their original condition and can not be worn, altered, washed, stretched out or damaged in any way, in the original box and/or packaging. Please be cautious of makeup and deodorant marks, pet hair, dirt and strong smells when putting on the clothes.

Color Mismatch

Perceived color differences due to the display settings of your computer monitor are not grounds for a refund/ exchange.

Although we attempt to represent online colors as accurately as possible, we cannot guarantee that the colors shown on your monitor will match the actual garment. Variations of light and reflections on the original photograph as well as differences in computer monitors and printers may make color tones appear slightly different than the actual fabric.

The pattern that  I got on my outfit is not 100% as the pictures what can I do?

Ethiopian products as we all know are mainly handmade especially the patterns on the clothes, so it important for us to clarify that the patterns are not 100% as the images all the time, like not all the paintings from the same painter will be exactly the same; handmade can change from a machine work especially the traditional method that is used for Ethiopian clothes by the Shemanne (the weavers).

We will make every effort to take care of your exchange as quickly as possible. However, please allow up to 15 working days for it to be processed.

Please note:

• Goods will only be accepted for exchange if they are dispatched within 3 days of delivery, unless we have notified you otherwise.
• The item is your responsibility until it reaches us. Therefore, for your own protection we recommend that you send the parcel using a delivery service that insures you for the value of the goods.
